Our mission is to introduce and offer to the market the waterproofing systems that can be created with synthetic membranes, through our network of Technicians-Agents-Dealers, in Italy and abroad. Considering the importance of correct application for the company, IMPER ITALIA entrusts the installation of its membranes to specialised companies, providing them with the necessary pre and after-sales technical support. Every year, the Training Centre’s activities train thousands of operators on the correct application techniques.

IMPER ITALIA manufactures synthetic membranes made of:
- TPO/FPA: Polypropylene-based elastomeric polyolefin alloy base compound
- PVC-P: Plastified PVC base compound
These membranes are mainly intended for the following sectors:
- ROOFING
- CIVIL ENGINEERING
- AUTOMOTIVE
TPO/FPA Range
The progress of macromolecular chemistry of polyolefins allowed us to synthesise new polymers, with optimum waterproofing characteristics. These polymers have already been extensively tested, in combination with bitumen, by the Imper Italia Research & Development technicians. It has been possible to incorporate elastomers, in the propylene matrix, obtaining an elastomeric, thermoplastic polymer, to give the SINTOFOIL synthetic membranes special characteristics, ideal for waterproofing, such as:
- no chlorine or other polluting materials;
- very high resistance to weathering and UV rays;
- rot-proof;
- mechanical and puncture resistance;
- flexibility and suppleness (even at low temperatures);
- root resistance;
- excellent weldability and easy repairability during the entire service life of the works;
- easy inspection of the welds;
- total recyclability and environmental compatibility.
The synthetic membranes in TPO have both national and international Product and System Certifications
Mutual, BBA, EMI, Bureau Veritas, Qualiconsult, ITC, CSTB, UBAtc, etc.
PVC-P Range
To complete the range of synthetic waterproofing membranes there is also a PVC-P line for:
- Roofs: SINTOPLAN range
- Civil Engineering works (underground and hydraulic works): EUROFLEX / ECOFLEX range
Even the synthetic membranes in PVC-P have both national and international Product and System Certifications.
AUTOMOTIVE Range
The automotive industry makes extensive use of plastic materials, especially the film lining of the interiors and loading compartments of cars and industrial vehicles. Our TPO-FPA and PVC-P sheet and film extrusion production lines are able to offer solutions that meet new market needs, which require increasingly ecological and lightweight products.
The technical solutions are obtained through collaboration with the suppliers of top car manufacturers as well as directly with their design centres.
Our products are integrated soundproofing solutions that aim to provide absolute comfort in van and car interiors. We work with innovative materials and processes and as a result we are able to achieve a balance between low costs and low product weight.
